Intro
Initially drawn as a skunk with digigrade legs, Shotgun became much more -- shi started up the WolfSkunk species, a species described by this:
As strong and fast as a wolf, but as potent as a skunk -- in more ways than one.
NOTE: As of this revision on 3-22-2000 of the Sol 3 calendar, DNA baised technology has advanced so that a special computer bank or "Beowulf Cluster" can reform a WolfSkunk's body in a virtual enviroment and emulate even the largest Hex'Taurs. Previously, bodies were donated to science. Now, researchers ask for a DNA sample. Because of this, more refinement of this and other documents is possible.
Morphology
WolfSkunks can be best drawn by thinking skunk, but add in a wolf mussle, wolf digigrade legs, and a more defined muscle structure. Virtually a combonation of wolf and skunk, with hints of tiger. A normal uninflated WolfSkunk would on average have noticeable breasts and fairly noticeable humanoid male genitalia.
WolfSkunks have "head fur" or hair. To this date no "cropped" or bald adult WolfSkunk has been found.
Like Bernard Dove's Chakats, WolfSkunks are hermaphrodites, with carefully balanced hormones. This permits for most of their sexual nature. WolfSkunks also share the slightly raized, sheithed genitalia, but due to their slim torso, requires a scrotum(no room).
WolfSkunks are between 9' to 12', usually. Smaller WolfSkunks are rare. Some mutations/classes of WolfSkunks raize the top bar to 15', but rarely will there be a taller WolfSkunk.
WolfSkunks are bright and intelegent, compleating at least 4 years of college as a rule never to break. Unfortunately, that's not the only reason they enroll.
Personality and gender
WolfSkunks know about males and females, as well as hermaphrodites(or herm) and neuter furs. The use of gender is used in medical textbooks primaily. The next common useage is the decription of a WolfSkunk's personality -- weither shi is more masculine or feminine in nature.
When a suitable herm pronoun can be found, WolfSkunks are usually called as a male, but accept female conventions, too. The patient, observant, and wize correctly calls the gender.
Inflation
WolfSkunks can inflate their breasts and male genitalia. This is used primarily as a sex aid, but ethics dictate caution and privacy(exept for Sundays).

That's what I was thinking but it's a dynamic system, allowing for greatly enhanced cellular division so that the form appears to stretch nearly indefinatly (as with that one reported case of a WolfSkunk's member being longer than some streets I know, heh). The reverse occuring when the stretched form returns to a default size. Since we can't add mass out of thin air, I would suspect microscopic air pockets to be used to further enhance the 'stretch' as done when you turn a little bit of solid matter into a *much* more volumous foam (ie. foam rubber).

Morphy's decription is very good, but I'd like to discouage magic a bit. As I'm thinking more on it, especially the sexual aspects of it (thanks for reminding me Doug!), I must say there needs some modification.
The breasts and balls have normal (as we know) inflation: microscopic air pockets make the solid mass more volumous, like a foam. It produces dramatic effects, depending on the existing unflated size.
The penis is double-bladdered, with dedicated pockets for blood and a main "cavern" for air/water. The cavern is usually cris-crossed with muscle strands for deflation, and vital areas are double walled. This prevents most cases of blood loss were they one.
A WolfSkunk can "stretch" or peramently inflate by "pushing" the inflation. This is covered in the Society document.
The breasts, cock, and scrotum are covered in a "bio-latex" skin, which allows for stretching on a massive scale. Most inflation-related mutations deal with the biolatex properties.
A WolfSkunk can spooge while inflated. The amount of semen produced is dependent on the current size of the ball sac (which has intresting side effects -- another inflation fan accidently flooded a park after inflating and seeing a natually well endowed WolfSkunk. Messy, but rare.)

With such a member, the blood that would stiffen it would actually kill him. So we'll have to make it like a WolfSkunks' penis... Which makes us wonder how he (and they) spooges. I don't know if this is the case normally, but I remember with arteries in the human body, as well as the vanes, actually contracting and expanding to help out blood flow. Sort of like a helper pump for the heart. Let us apply that to the uretha of the penis -- make it like a artery. This, of course, would require a bit of nerve to pull off, but it should work out well, providing a slightly varying pressure to that stream about to come out. (It would also help make the phrase "In a minute..." be true when going to the bathroom. A WolfSkunk standing up by a urinal could almost dump a whole bladder in 15 seconds... well the possibility exists.)

It is foolish and unwize to stand behind a deflating WolfSkunk. Due to the massive pressure buildup, explosive results occur, ending in physical damage. In addition, some WolfSkunks spray durring deflation.
Given practice, a WolfSkunk can perform insanely quick inflation/deflation.
Given exersize, breast, cock, and ball shrinkage slowly occurs in responce to need to optimize blood flow in stretched areas.
Inflating with helium or a helium/oxygen mix has no short term effects. The mix has yet to have any long term effects. This may be the end of the bra.
Mutations - Major
Unfortunately, random mutations happen, and WolfSkunk society accomidates for these major structural changes. WolfSkunk cubs are tested for mutations as a determining factor, and most minor mutations are optionally mentioned. All major mutations seem to fall under these categories:

Can accomidate a litter of 8 or more.

Breeders are born at random times, but when mated, will give birth to high-order litters. Rarely will a breeder become praternal, will aways become maternal.

Kitsumes are fly boys/girls. They perfer to inflate with helium, and can utilitize their tails in a helicopter like fashion. Some are lawyers. All are thrill seekers.

Nali's love to build, repair, and break down. They make great architechs. They love hands-on projects.
Nali's have longer and thicker cocks than average WolfSkunks, but usually inflate only to relax in a hottub.
Nali's can twist around almost 180 degrees at their waist and neck.
A secondary mutation, the Philosopher exchanges penis size for brain power. They think *hard*. They also teach. Mostly professors.
- Scientist/observer
4 eyes, wolfish tail & ears.
Sciences, lawyers & judges
born w/modified head
Observers belive in reproducibity, which account for their extra eyes. They are adept at the sciences, for the extra brain power they pack. Due to this, Observers are either damned sure about something and will back it up or will disprove it. Observers are given more creed in court cases. It is illegal to bribe an Observer, for they easily show a conflict of interest. Observer investgations are always conclusive.
Observers push the limit on breast inflation often.
- Detective/Hero
Very wide in chest. Body

enforement. Born w/high birth mass
Detective WolfSkunks are part Sherlock Homes, part Sipowitz, part Shwartzeneger, and a very tiny part Ken Starr(see Society:Religion). Not only do they get their man, they make sure it is the man to get.
Detectives have high regard for Observers and will protect them as honor and duty. Observers always respect Detectives. Both have saved each others lives.
Detectives are usually "well hung" but are not impeaded in their normal abilities. In addition, they run *fast*.
According to Mara, Detectives carry a mutated Callipyge gene (similar to that on Sol 3), explaining their very muscular form.
Occasonally, a tiger striped mixed mutant WolfSkunk is born. Not only are they Detectives, but they also have an Observer's four eyes, and a slimmer build (a more recessive Callipyge gene mutation, producing well-toned muscularity). Some tend for special or secret operations, are around 9' tall, and are colored black. These are called Bond WolfSkunks. Rarely you will see one in public. Others tend for computers, and usually are colored midnight blue. They are called SputWolfSkunks, and carry the power of LART. SputWolfSkunks reside in alt.binaries.slack as SPUTUM(tm) units.
- Nurse/Nanny
6 breasted. Into medical fields.
More femme in nature.
Breeders with 8 kids always need help, and a Nurse helps. Nurses self inflate with milk, but can never inflate their male genitalia - they're already large! See Doug Winger's artwork.
Every so often (in terms of months) a Nurse needs to be milked if not nursing.
Mutations -- Super or overlay
There are, so far, two overlay mutations.
- Taur

Taur class WolfSkunks are more common now, requiring apropriate relisting. This class is very similar to the Chakat species, down to the paws.
Taurs, like their usual default class brethein, usually are inclined to be what their interests lead them.
Mutations - mixing majors
As seen above, some mutations can be mixed together. Usually, two mutations are combined. Only WS CrickLade is a combo of three (Kitsume, Philosopher, Observer) and WS RedWolf an unusual combo of five (Kitsume, Philosopher, Observer, Breeder, Hextaur). Both are classed as Oracle WolfSkunks.
An Oracle WolfSkunk is a mix of Philosopher and Observer mutations, with an added bonus: the eyes are totally white. Oracles see normally, it's a daemonic effect. They are the wizest of the wize, the origonal know-it-alls. All questions answered. Origonally shunned, now revered when one, WolfSkunk CrickLade, made Circut Court Judge. First case assigned, shi fined both lawyers for twisting physics around. The second trial, two defendants revolted and charged the bench -- but CrickLade picked both up and ordered a good LART before proceeding (they were found not guilty anyway). Only twice has shi ordered death. That's when they saw how useful Oracles are. Oracles dispence advice on finding answers for free. Oracles are born w/the extra (totally white) eyes and arms.
Obsever/Detective mutants and followers of WolfSkunk Bob, SputWolfSkunks search for slack just like Subgenii on Sol 3.

Breeder mutations can rarely be mixed, and are domimant. The only exception is a Breeder/Observer mix, called a Historian. Historians act like Observers. However, in line with their Breeder heratage, not only does Historians have three breasts and two penii/scrotums, but two Observer heads. (There is a central brain in a fairly wide chest which serves as a normal brain and central personality, so one mind is in control.) Historians can inflate normally. Historians have a higher birthrate and carry a more cynical attitude. Historians are usually writers and journalists.
Nurse mutations can only be mixed w/Nali, resulting in WolfSkunks that gravitate towards surgical feilds (but still are Nurses). All 8 breasts are rendered small.
Bond WolfSkunks have the unusual ability to stick to walls, darken/lighten their fur, being inconspicous, and having excelent memory. They are for shadowing furs. Many times, they prevented many crimes.
If an Observer is born as a Taur with four breasts, the WolfSkunk cub is declared an Explorer mutant. Explorers are like their name - travelers well suited for the job. Expert campers.
If a Observer/Kitsume mix is born, the cub becomes a Locator, researching lost treasures and bounties left for time, and then unusualy finding them. Somehow they find lost socks too. They are named for this uncanny ability. Often they become archelogists(teaming up with an Explorer or two) or private eyes. Similar are Trackers, the only differences are the addition of wings in leu of three tails (this WolfSkunk is tailed), and the inherent flight speed .
Nali/Taur mixed WolfSkunks sometimes becomes a Hextaur ("6 paws on the floor"). This is due to a disabling of normally enabled additional-breast mutation genes. More on Hextaurs appears later.
Recently, the discovery of a Nurse'Taur made news. DNA analysis revealed a true mix. The Nurse'Taur was working in the neonatal unit of a local hospital. The difference between normal Nurses and Nurse'Taurs, in accordance to genetics, was the normal pair of breasts up top, but carried below were three pairs of humanoid breasts, all near-crowding for room. This slighly slowed the Taur's normal speed to that of a normal WolfSkunk. The total breast count is eight, while the masculine genitalia stay the same. Two seperate addittional mutations can happen, in which for the first the fur bears twelve breasts in a double-six-pack configuration, the other afflicts Hex'Taurish furs and adds another six breasts. For some odd reason, all three inflate their cock to overcome the difficulties their breasts.
- RedWolf Polymorphic mutation (major)
The possibility exists for a mutation allow for polymorphic capabilities. However, the gene is multipily locked and it is highly unlikely for it to be active. Only WolfSkunks RedWolf, Stryker, and Tygress have such a
mutation unlocked and active. (The author also wants to meet WS Tygress)
Further studies show a section of DNA controling biolatex is inactive except for polymophic WolfSkunks. This section produces the shapesfiting, liquid-like abilities of the class by causing all cells to be biolatex, with one modification to allow it to behave like a unified cell. An oxygen carrying anti-viral fluid is also coded, which also aids in lubrication. A fine-tuned control of cellular density allows movement and shape.
Mutations and the job market
There is no law preventing any class from taking a field divergent from their usual course. Some, like WS VidGoi, are masters in the fields chosen by themselves.
Bonds, SputWolfSkunks, Explorers, Riot Control members, and Oracles are too enthusiastic that all take their field.
Mutations - minor
Some slight mutations do occur, and most accomidations are made.
- Inflation gene defect
Two defects of the genes controling inflation occur, one preventing all inflation, the other allowing full body inflation. Since WolfSkunk society is not reliant on inflation, they fit in. It's only a biolatex problem.
- Finger defect
Even though WolfSkunks have five fingers and one thumb, minor mutations occur only in Detectives adding up to three more. All fingers are operational. The role these WolfSkunks play is also their nick-name: Riot Control. Huge, strong bastards these goys are. Riot control WolfSkunks are banned from drinking alcoholic beverages for good reason. (Which is why you pay in advance for your beer on WolfSkunk Homeworld)
- Tail variations
WolfSkunk tails are a mix of wolf and skunk, but always having a skunk's markings. Some are more wolfish than skunkish.
Tail length varies between nearly two thirds of the body height to nearly two times, usually "flopping" over when it reaches around the subject's head. Because of this, all tails are nessisarily prehensile.
- Naga, Draconic mutations
A WolfSkunk who can streach along hir spine, lenthing the waist, are thought to have this mutation. More common in Nali WolfSkunks. In almost all cases, they can shrink back down to normal.
The Draconic mutation is similar, but applies to the whole spine and tail.
- Additional breasts
Sometimes, an extra pair of breasts under an existing pair shows. Usually the same size, they only affect normal WolfSkunks, as well as the Kitsume, Taur, and Observer mutants. Nali baised mutants have this active by default.
Some WolfSkunks with both the extra breasts and the Naga mutation keep a slightly stretched torso for good looks.
- Leg Length Mutations
Long legs, such that the length of the upper, middle, and lower legs match, is uncommon but useful. Those with such mutations can run faster, and usually become couriers. A side effect of large paws follows this mutation.
- Striping variations
If not a Sput or Bond mutant (who also has this on), a ZigZag-like WolfSkunk can be born with a Tiger stripe mutation. Common, but fascinating.
Sometimes, the middle stripe is missing. No alarm. Common.
Rare Mutations
- Balloonie WolfSkunks
Balloonies are a halfway point between Polymorphs and normal WolfSkunks. Underneath a biolatex skin is a thin layer of unified cells, which control air pressure to animate the fur. Side effects include a balloon-like sheen, occasonal trasparency, and inability to procreate. Additional research is ongoing. At this time, Ballonies are thought to be advanced Artifical Intelegence, and are considered to be WolfSkunkish.
- Hormonal Breast Overendowment
Rare but deadly. Afflicted WolfSkunks lead normal lives until puberty, when the breasts suddenly grow until they reach almost to the paws. Because of the mass of the breasts, the subject is rendered immobile w/o mechanical aid. Research into early detection and treatment is ongoing. Inflation, unfortunately, produces extreemly massive results.
- Hormonal Scrotal and Penile Overendowment
More rare than breast overendowment. More deadly -- at puberty, the massive growth brings in more blood to the members and therefore the drop in pressure kills.
- Winger penii mutation
Affecting penile inflation, this mutation removes the diameter restriction that the species has. Only very few get the Winger mutation. Those affected can expand the penile width past a yard or more in proportion to their body structure. Named after WolfSkunk Winger. (An omage to Doug Winger)
- Polyorchids
Rarely, a WolfSkunk is born a polyorchid, one having more than two testicles in one scrotum. Always with an even number of testicles, these subjects religously spooge on Sundays. Most become priests. Breeders aflicted are aborted before birth or shot on sight -- such WolfSkunks redefine "extreme sex maniac." (This is the only case which WolfSkunks legally kill their young - previous incidents proved the adult polyorchid Breeder too wild, a menace to society.)
- Hextaurs
Nali'taur WolfSkunks with or without the multi-breast mutation active become hextaurs. These are similar to normal 'Taurs with a second lower torso and rear, and a much much longer tail. RedWolf's picture of Tazel Sixpaws (now WS Sixpaws) and Bernard Doves' hextaur pictures are close. A few noticible features of Hextaurs are: the middle paws are similar to the front, as to be hand-like in design; each "rear" sports a normal set of male genitalia, making the fur double-cocked; only the top humanoid torso's breasts are inflatable, as is both cocks and ballsacs, but not the mamillian mamaries on the lower torso's.
Most Hextaurs have their urinal bladder connected to only the frontal (under the midlegs) penis while the rear penis is connected to both sets of balls. A third entry point with the vagina allows the rear penis to be flushed, while a inflation conduit connecting at the bellybutton (sharing it with the breasts) allows the fore penis to be inflated. Even though this fur is tecnicaly a polyorchid WolfSkunk in the pure medical definition, it seems to have a filtration system for excess hormones. A Breeder/Hextaur mixed mutant has been proven to be a stable addition, despite the extra hormones added to the body. Researchers are looking into the DNA of a Breeder Hextaur volunteer.
- Overactive Ureathal Pump
This minor mutation affects the effectiveness of the ureatha's pumpish functions -- it enhances them so that they empty out at a much faster rate. It's also called the Shotgun Mutation, after it's first afflicted fur, WS Shotgun.
- Prehensile Penis (Rashana/Python)
WolfSkunks with this mutation usually have the Draconic mutation active. The effect of this is that the penis is rendered uninflatable lengthwize, but still can be stretched out by some means due to being tail-like. Some researchers consider it as being a secondary frontal tail.
- Others
The "Celibrated Oddities" document contain some of the odder mutations.
Sex & Reproduction
Ahh yes, we got to deal with that, even though they are hermaphroditic. Unstreched WolfSkunk penii are 8-16 inches long excited, and mostly sheethed when not. Most WolfSkunks perfer at most a slightly inflated cock. All, however, have a vaginal passage that can take some abuse (it has to with deflation), so if some overloaded fur needs draining, a WolfSkunk can accomidate.
WolfSkunk penii start to loose their erectile abilities once grown or streched (not inflated) past 30 feet. At 50 feet total loss occurs, allowing for mobility at the cost of reliance on inflation.
Non-Breeders can accomidate twins easily.
C-sections are uncommon due to the pelvis bones being kept together by muscles. Durring birthing, the pelvis pushes outward for easier birth.
Once cleaned, babies are called "fuzzballs" for obvious reasons.
Gestation is six months long, but longer pregnancies are common. Early births are rare.
Kids
Within a few weeks, WolfSkunk cubs shed their fuzz and the true colorization appears.
WolfSkunk cubs slowly grow to about 6' until about teenage years. Then it spurts to final height ending at age 17. (Some late bloomers have it delayed until 17, and are hospitalized durring the shortened growth period. Such growth is accelerated, and very painful.)
Self Defense
It is a hazzard to your health to be in contact with WolfSkunk spray. It is not only bad smelling, but nausiating as well, causing the victim to vomit for up to 6 hours. The nausiating effects wear off 6 hours after being sprayed.
WolfSkunks never spray involuntarily.
Detective WolfSkunk spray is toxic, but treatable. Bond WolfSkunk spray is lethal. SputWolfSkunk spray is enlightening, but only after the nausia.
Communication and Deaf WolfSkunks
All WolfSkunks are trained to remember ASCII by heart. This is because it is used in an alternative means of communication -- WolfSkunk Sign Language.
The language is just like printed text used on the Internet. Each letter, number, and symbol has a 8-bit value (0-255), coresponding to ASCII. To transmit, the sender would "cock back" hir thumb, and for every byte, extend the pinky, extend each remaining finger to form the first (high-order) nibble of the byte before dropping the pinky and forming the lower nibble.
Two hands can be used for faster transmissions, one for high order, one for low order nibbles.
Deaf WolfSkunks use a shorter Core ASCII, using only the full hand. It only uses 26 upper case letters, some punctuation, and some control codes. It is faster than normal ASCII but less robust. Not widely taught.
